Nonprofits: You Could Win Some Synthetic Turf!

If you’re operating a nonprofit facility, listen up!

Synthetic Turf International has launched a contest, called the Better Play & Recreation Contest, which aims to recognize the dedication of nonprofits working to help kids, pets and their communities. The Grand Prize will be a synthetic turf putting green, playground, park or special installation worth as much as $50,000.

More from the group’s announcement:

Whether it is a new playground for kids at a family shelter, putting greens for youth at risk who are turning around their lives, a new training area for a canine assistance program or a community park that helps children with disabilities play outside on an accessible surface, the prize should enhance the ability of the organization to help the populations it serves. The contest is open to non-profit groups, service organizations, schools, daycare facilities and community parks throughout North America.

Deadline for submissions will be April 26, 2013. You must demonstrate your need for a synthetic turf green space, as well as the expected effect it will have on delivery of services.

Ten finalists will be selected by May 6 and posted online for public voting to determine a winner.
